L.I.B. is a poet, lyricist, rapper, and singer currently residing in Rush City Correctional Facility in Rush City, Minnesota.

Born in Liberia in May of 1985 L.I.B. spent the first 17 years of his life in Liberia living with his paternal grandparents through the First Liberian Civil War (1989 - 1997) and much of the second Liberian Civil War (1999 - 2003) before fleeing Liberia for "greener pastures" in the United States around 2002.

L.I.B. walked from Liberia to Côte d'Ivoire with his paternal grandparents, fleeing an active war-zone and surviving on whatever rations he and his family were able to find at United Nations tents along their perilous journey. They walked because during the Civil War it was common for one or both sides in the conflict to fire at vehicles traveling on the road so making the 600+ mile journey up 6500 feet of elevation and back down on foot was their safest option.

In addition to creating dozens of original songs while incarcerated in MN State Prisons, L.I.B. wrote a book of original poetry titled Tears In My Ink which we hope to help him self-publish.
